To be compliant with DfE regulations, schools must have at least one panel member suitably trained on an accredited Safer Recruitment course on every selection panel and this course fully meets these standards.
The training is designed to equip participants with the fundamental tools to successfully interview candidates, and how to carry out pre-appointment checks (including DBS checks) before a candidate is appointed. Recruiting new staff member can be a lengthy and complex process. Taking a planned and structured approach to recruitment will reduce the risk of appointing someone unsuitable and help to make sure all the relevant steps are taken.
