+ VATThe Role of the Family Engagement Officer training course provides a comprehensive introduction to the essential skills, knowledge, and strategies required to engage and support families effectively within a school or community setting. Designed for those new to the role, this Level 1 programme offers a clear understanding of the FEO’s purpose, responsibilities, and potential impact.
Through a step-by-step approach, participants will explore how to build positive, trust-based relationships with parents and carers, implement effective procedures that improve attendance, behaviour, and parental involvement, and address barriers to engagement including working with hard-to-reach families. The course also covers how to work collaboratively with school staff, external agencies, and community partners to support pupil outcomes, and how to evidence their work in line with school priorities and inspection requirements. By the end of the training, delegates will have developed a practical and adaptable toolkit to bridge the gap between home, school, and the wider community, creating measurable and lasting positive change for pupils, families, and the school as a whole.
The course includes a copy of the Family Engagement Officer’s Toolkit on memory stick (if bought separate £99+VAT)
