+ VATThe role of the ALNCo in Wales is one of the most demanding and complex roles in school. It involves extensive amounts of leadership, collaboration and a significant helping of specialist knowledge and understanding of needs and legal systems. This course is designed to provide you with practical tools, strategies, information and resources to implement straight away. There will also be opportunities to discuss specific challenges with the trainer and network with others.
Understand the ALNCo role including Additional Learning Needs Codes, Regulations, and the Equality Act 2010.
Establish effective ALN systems, including the role of the ALNCo and transition planning.
Implement and evaluate support through interventions, staff deployment, and adaptive teaching.
Foster collaboration by strengthening partnerships with parents, developing pupil voice, and enhancing staff CPD.
Monitor and evaluate pupil achievement, gather inspection evidence, present data effectively, and develop an action plan.
For new ALNCos and ALNCos wanting to refresh/review their practise.
